Double Fatal Crash Near Myton In Duchesne County On Monday

A double fatal crash occurred early Monday morning on Highway 40 in Duchesne County. Utah Highway Patrol reports that on Monday, February 9th, at approximately 5:50 am, a black 2014 KIA Soul was traveling eastbound on Highway 40 at mile marker 108 near Myton. A gray 2024 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound and drifted left across the center turn lane and into the left eastbound lane. The Ford pickup struck the KIA head-on at the Cobble Hollow Dr. intersection of Highway 40. Each vehicle had a single occupant, a 67-year-old male driving the Ford and a 25-year-old male driving the KIA. Both drivers were killed on impact. The roadway was closed at the time of the incident and remained closed for several hours.
