Don’t Miss the Massive Firework Surprise During July 24th Show at Naples Park

Due to the drought and major safety concerns, fire officials have encouraged the public to forego private fireworks this holiday season and instead enjoy a commercial show where the fire department remains on hand. If you were on the fence then perhaps consider that Naples City has a massive addition to their 24th of July fireworks show that may be a once in a lifetime event to see. Kevin Devoll of Ashley Acres Lights & Pyro has provided the stats on a massive 16 inch shell that will go off during the show. In case it means anything to you, the shell “is a double petal long duration gold brocade crown with sapphire blue pistil and rising gold tail.” A normal firework shell measures just a few inches and can be held in the palm of your hand. This massive shell is 16 inches by 8 inches and weighs 64 pounds with almost 5 pounds of powder to lift it. It will be buried 6 feet in the ground and will exit the tube at 221 miles per hour. It will travel 7 seconds to its maximum altitude of 1600 feet before breaking in a 720 foot diameter. Don’t miss the chance to see it! Include the Naples City fireworks show to your holiday activities.
