They are an invitation for thieves and an easy opportunity for them as well. If possible, retrieve your daily mail soon after it is delivered to your mailbox, and if you are expecting a package do the same. If you are expecting a package and will not have the opportunity to retrieve it from your porch or mailbox, make prior arrangements for a neighbor or family member to retrieve it soon after delivery.” You can also give specific instructions on where to deliver the package, like to the side or back of the house where it is out of sight from the road.
