The latest data on reservoirs in Utah may not be surprising but it’s still not easy to hear. According to the Utah DNR data updated on June 28th, the reservoir fill is 83 percent in Flaming Gorge, 60 percent in Red Fleet, 22 percent in Steinaker, 19 percent in Moon Lake, 82 percent in Starvation, 98 percent in Currant Creek, and 79 percent in Strawberry. Northeastern Utah doesn’t look too bad compared to other hurting parts of the state. For example, Central Utah has two reservoirs below 20 percent, two between 20 and 40 percent, two between 40 and 60 percent, and none above 60 percent. Of course the drought is also extremely evident in southern Utah with Lake Powell at 34 percent.
