Discovery Elementary Art Students Put Their Talents On Display

The artists of Discovery Elementary are learning how to brighten and beautify through their works of art. Uintah School District highlighted two great examples of this in the District’s weekly update. The students in Jill Hatch’s art classes combined efforts to create a massive glowing tropical rainforest on display in Hatch’s classroom. Students in grades 1 through 5 painted rainforest animals using fluorescent paint and neon oil pastels and the effect is magical when under black lights. It has been one of their favorite projects of the year and something that the staff and kids at Discovery absolutely love. The second example from Discovery Elementary is third grade student Miliakere Gata whose painting of flowers in a vase was selected by administrators as the cover image for this year’s Employee Recognition Banquet. A reproduction of the painting will also be hung in the District office.
