The Basin knows that the Girl Scouts has a strong presence when it’s time to buy cookies but the organization also has a lot more going on. Right now they are planning a Girl Scout Day Camp with Utah Field House of Natural History. They are calling it Camp Paleontology, where the girls will work with paleontologists to learn about the creation of fossils, what leads to their discovery and what things can be learned from fossils. Dinosaur National Monument will host the event which will involve class lessons, a trip to the field museum and a field trip to the monument. If you are interested, the Dinosaur National Monument has a link to register on their Facebook.
