Dinosaur Blade Signs Popping Up on Vernal Main Street

It’s been a year since Roger Brooks secret-shopped the Vernal area and gave specific feedback on ways to improve visitor appeal and boost tourism. Local agencies took many suggestions to heart and the evidence is now popping up in the form of improved signage and a wayfinding system. Among the items are dinosaur themed blade signs now seen on businesses in downtown Vernal.  The project is among several in process by the Downtown Revitalization Committee that is aimed at beautifying and unifying the downtown area. “We want people walking downtown to frequent our stores [and] the blade signs will make it easier to see the store names,” shares Committee Chairman Pete Morphy. “We want as many downtown businesses to purchase these blade signs as possible. The City has waived the building permit fee and the engineering has already been completed. This is an affordable way to spruce up your signage and also attract business.” Any businesses interested in having their own sign can contact the Vernal Chamber of Commerce.
