The DinahSOAR Balloon Festival has an amazing new opportunity this year for youth. The Balloon Federation of America joined with the festival to provide the balloon camp for youth ages 13 to 17. A parent is also invited to participate alongside their child if wanted. Attendees “will be mentored by FAA Certified Commercial pilots and staff who are focused on providing training and learning experiences…including flight planning, weather analysis, aircraft set-up, flight operation requirements, tethering and flights in a hot air balloon as weather permits.” This will be a STEM focused day camp that will run in conjunction with the DinahSOAR Balloon Festival the evening of August 26th through the 28th.
