The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office has provided details on the high speed chase last week that ended in two people arrested: On Thursday, September 30th, an off-duty Uintah County Sheriff’s Deputy saw two wanted subjects, identified as 25 year-old Tyson Brown and 29 year-old Rachelle Murray at a residence in Jensen. After notifying a deputy that was on duty, the two subjects, along with another individual, left the residence in an SUV pulling a flatbed trailer. The on duty deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the SUV at 3700 East Highway 40, however the driver, identified as Tyson Brown, failed to stop. As the SUV began to flee, the third person that was with the wanted couple jumped out of the vehicle. He was briefly detained for questioning and was later released. The SUV fled from deputies at speeds that ranged from 60 to 80 mph on roads in the Davis area. The pursuit was terminated after Brown went through a construction zone, almost hitting a construction worker. A few minutes later, a Naples Police Officer found the flatbed trailer abandoned on a dirt road approximately three miles away from where the pursuit was discontinued. As law enforcement responded to the area, the SUV was also found abandoned. The couple was later located in a field at approximately 4000 East, south of Highway 40. They were both taken into custody without further incident. At the time of their arrest, both individuals were in possession of illegal narcotics. Further investigation was conducted later in the night where additional drugs and firearms were located at a residence in Uintah County. Those items were tied to both Brown and Murray. Tyson Brown was booked into the Uintah County jail on suspicion of evading, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, as well as other misdemeanor charges and warrants out of Utah and Wyoming. Rachelle Murray was booked into jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, other misdemeanors, and multiple warrants out of Utah.
