Most Basin travelers have come to expect some delays while traveling Highway 40 through the construction in Strawberry Valley and the latest UDOT update indicates those delays will continue. This week, crews started temporary striping to prepare for the asphalt removal between Mile Post 46 and 48. Pilot car operations have been in use for traffic control leading to obvious travel delays. Also be aware that there continues to be shoulder work between Mile Post 40 and 45. Construction is scheduled
Monday through Friday
from 7am to 7pm. UDOT encourages travelers to allow extra travel time, to use alternate routes when possible, and be aware of construction activities and workers near driving lanes.
