Reminders of an upcoming favorite Vernal event are popping up around town. “Dinah” the dinosaur, in her retro orange getup, is the mascot of the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo and is the inspiration for a favorite annual competition. Decorated Dinahs will be on display at Uintah County businesses as a fun reminder of the approaching event. Decorate Dinah contest applications and the Dinahs are available to pick up at the Vernal Chamber of Commerce office. For those participating, Dinah needs to be decorated and displayed June 22nd through July 9th, the last day of the Rodeo. Prizes are awarded for multiple themes, including Best Rodeo, Patriotic, Business, and Dinosaurland Themes and of course Best All-Around Dinah and People’s Choice.
