Reminders of an upcoming local Vernal event are all around town. “Dinah” the dinosaur, in her retro orange getup, has become the mascot of the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo. In a favorite annual competition, decorated Dinahs are on display at Uintah County businesses as a fun reminder that the rodeo is coming up. From Professor Dinah teaching a group of rodeo hopefuls to Sheriff Dinah apprehending a pair of bank robbers at Grand Valley Bank, this year’s displays are creative and fun, as usual. Grand Valley Bank won the People’s Choice this year. Uintah Basin Christian Academy won Best All-Around, Junk In The Trunk won Best Rodeo Theme, MFA Oil Company won Best Business Theme, Krafty Stash won Best Patriotic Theme, and Outlaw Trail RV Park won Best Dinosaurland Theme. The Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo will be at the Western Park
