The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office took the time to celebrate a great group of 5th grade students at Myton Elementary for their DARE graduation. A well deserved pizza party was held to celebrate the students. “In addition to completing the DARE program, students also received hands-on training in life-saving skills, including CPR instruction, by participating personnel from Duchesne County Sheriff’s office and EMS personnel,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “Special recognition went to Camile Abegglen and Lara Balingit, who were selected by Deputy Kevin Priebe as recipients of the Best Essay Award for their outstanding work on their essays.” The Sheriff’s Office also emphasizes that the involvement of the law enforcement officers “helps strengthen positive relationships between law enforcement, schools, and the community while equipping students with skills that can truly save lives. Congratulations to everyone involved on a successful and meaningful DARE program.”
