Daggett County’s monthly newsletter aims to inform the public on happenings in the northeastern most corner of the state. Daggett County Commissioners acknowledge the new economic development director, Tabitha Stewart, for her success in receiving a BEAR grant and the high praise she received from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. They also report that the new building and grounds manager, Jesse Platt, is getting caught up on past projects and showing excellent progress. The newsletter also includes the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office tips as the summer season winds down. These tips are applicable to all of northeastern Utah and are as follows: Fire restrictions mean all need to be aware that the ground is dry and fire danger is very high. Remember to be safe and alert while on the water and follow all life jacket rules. Children start back to school in a couple weeks. Please be especially watchful for them at all times. Slower speeds on all roads may insure their safety. Finally, hunting commences now and orange will be everywhere. Be wise. Be safe.
