A new grant program offered by Daggett County received a strong response and the recipients have been announced. The Daggett County Community Economic Opportunity Advisory Board along with the Commissioners announced in November that grant funding was available to promote new and future development in the county. Seventeen applications were received. The Commissioners shared in the Daggett Post that the applications were reviewed and scored by an agency outside of Daggett County to determine the recipients. Based on those results four $10,000 dollar grants were awarded to Flaming Gorge Plumbing, Sweet and Bubbly, Birch Creek RV Rentals, and Flaming Gorge Resort. Three $5,000 dollar grants were also awarded going to Altering Substances, Glamping Gorge Brew Company, and Forbes Family Farm. Daggett County plans to offer the program again.
