UDOT has announced that crews are preparing for the seasonal shutdown for US-191 Indian Canyon construction. “Based on the recent weather, crews plan to pause construction for the winter and complete the project next spring,” shares the UDOT announcement. “Over the next week, they will work at several locations throughout the canyon to prepare for the seasonal shutdown. For the remainder of the season, drivers can expect up to two traffic control areas with a pilot car guiding traffic and crews working along the road shoulders. Crews are installing delineators, grinding bumps in the road, and installing signage. Over the winter, crews will pause all activities, including pilot car operations. Work is expected to resume in spring 2027, when crews will replace old guardrail, pave an asphalt overlay on the road, paint permanent road striping, and complete the new southbound passing lane.” If you have any questions about work in Indian Canyon, please contact the project team at us191indiancanyon@utah.gov or 435-264-3448.
