A native to Craig is finding success on the 2023 film festival circuit with his latest short film. Brendan Beachman’s ‘A Wedding Day’ was winner of the Audience Award for Best Short Film and received Grand Jury Special Recognition for Cinematography at the Dances With Films 2023 festival. It also won the Audience Award for Best International Short at the 2023 Calgary Underground Film Festival. The film is set to show this September at the Breckenridge Film Fest bringing Beachman back to his home state of Colorado. His film has also been accepted for the Edmonton International Film Festival also taking place in September. This is an especially big deal as it’s an Oscar qualifying festival for short films and is the final qualifying festival of the calendar year.
