The TriCounty Health COVID Shootout locations are now offering Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines in addition to Moderna. No appointment is necessary and the vaccine is available to everyone 18 years old and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single dose while the Moderna vaccine is administered two times, a month apart. The COVID Shootout locations are in Vernal at the TriCounty Health location and in Roosevelt at the USU campus. As of Monday, April 5th, TriCounty Health Department is reporting a total of 138 total active cases of COVID-19 in the TriCounty health district. “That is a decrease in cases from just a month ago when the tri-county area had 233 active cases,” shares their Monday announcement. “There are a total of 3,683 individuals who are recovered from COVID-19. Over the last week the tri-county area has only seen 44 new cases.”
