COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update

As of Thursday, December 23rd, TriCounty Health Department reported 9,151 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date. As of that report, there had been 1 new COVID-19 related death in the previous 7 days and 6 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. According to Thursday’s data, there were 248 active cases and case counts and trends are doing better for now throughout the tri-county area. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level, Duchesne County at the Moderate Level, and Daggett County at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 11 percent with 97 cases, Duchesne County was 9 percent with 61 cases, and Daggett County was 33 percent with 3 cases.
