COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update (10/21-10/27)

As of Thursday, October 21st, TriCounty Health Department reported 8,086 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date, an increase of 23 new cases from the day before and reaching a total of 64 deaths to date. According to Thursday’s data, there are currently 690 active cases which continues the downward trend from last week which reported 857. Over the past seven days, the tri-county area has seen 14 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 1 new COVID-19 related death. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Duchesne County and Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level and Daggett County at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 16 percent and there were 272 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 20 percent with 169 cases, and Daggett County was 50 percent with 10 cases.
