While the state unemployment rate ticked up this month, county unemployment rates in northeastern Utah have moved slightly down. Daggett County and Duchesne County are both down
from 4.7 to 4.6
percent unemployment. Uintah County remained at 4.9 percent unemployment for the third month in a row. A year ago, unemployment in Daggett County was at 5.4 percent, Duchesne County was at 5.2 percent, and Uintah County was at 5.5 percent, meaning all three are down by over a half a percent from fall 2017. National unemployment is currently at 3.7 percent, down
from 4.2
percent a year ago, while state unemployment is at 3.2 percent which is the same as one year ago.
