Construction on Bridge at Fort Duchesne to Resume

The Labor Day weekend provided a welcome break from construction on Highway 40 but while some believed the work on the bridge in Fort Duchesne was complete, UDOT reports that the work will be resuming. “The bridge is now open to traffic in both directions through mid-week following Labor Day,” shares UDOT. “Crews will then begin working on the bridge again with traffic reduced to one lane only. Temporary traffic lights will be used to stop and direct traffic, and traffic movement over the bridge will be staggered to allow movement in both directions at 7 minute intervals.” Wide loads over 10 feet will not be permitted through the construction area and it’s important that the public also use alternate routes when possible to help with the traffic flow.
