Congressman Dr. Mike Kennedy has spent several days in northeastern Utah this week hosting town hall meetings and visiting constituents. Among his stops, Representative Kennedy visited the KVEL studios and discussed the Big Beautiful Bill, Uinta Railway, responsible utilization on federal lands, Medicaid reform, tax cuts, and wildfires in the west. Rep. Kennedy emphasized that tax cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill are for all businesses, not just those in the energy industry.
He also discussed the reform underway in the permitting process as well as his support of the Uinta Railway. When the railway is built, Kennedy says we will see an energy reawakening in the United States that is going to make domestic energy cheap for our own needs as well as available to export to our friends and allies all over the world, enhancing their security. When it comes to mitigating growth in local communities that will be impacted by the railway, Kennedy says he will look for resources for the infrastructure and water needed to support the growth that will come.
