Come Cheer at the Special Olympics Annual Bocce Ball Tournament

You won’t find athletes with more heart than our local Special Olympians and they would love to have support at their upcoming competition. The local Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament is this month and volunteers and a cheering section are needed. Bocce Ball is one of the events that the North Eastern Utah Division of Special Olympics participates in each year at a regional and state level. Event volunteer Ron Allred says the event is largely unrecognized by the local general public and he’s hoping to change that this year. Allred is a father of one of the competitors and also an employee of Anadarko Petroleum which provides volunteers to set up the courses and act as field judges. This year, Anadarko is also providing the athletes with lunch and gift bags. They would love for the public to come join them in supporting these special athletes.  The event is taking place
on September 19th at 9am
at the KOA soccer fields,
1680 West Highway 40
.
