If you were wondering what the crane is doing in downtown Vernal you’re not alone. In answer, Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion shares that two projects are underway in that area. First, cable and string lights were placed over Vernal Avenue. “They will be programmed and lit in the next few weeks,” he explains. Second, the cap stones on the Cobblerock Arch were aging and starting to fail. “Before we had failure and falling concrete, we hired a contractor to replace the capstones,” shares Bennion. “With the shape, they are custom made and require a crane to lift into place.”
