Roosevelt City is one major step closer to receiving a beautiful new library. The Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library System shared the news on Thursday stating that Duchesne County presented the Roosevelt library project that day to the Community Impact Board requesting funding. “The Board was impressed with the project, public input, and effort made,” continued the announcement. “Though the mineral lease funds they have available are low due to the down economy, they worked through various funding scenarios to provide the library with as manageable an annual payment on the project as they could within their constraints. They settled on a 6-4 vote for a $3,423,750 dollar loan at 0.5% for 30 years with a $1,141,250 dollar grant. That results in an annual payment around $125,000 dollars, a far more favorable payment than their median tool originally proposed. Official funding will occur at their February Board Meeting.” The Duchesne County Library System expressed their appreciation to the CIB board for their support as well as thanks to all who contributed to the success of the presentation.
