A fatal accident that took place on Sunday morning claimed the life of a child. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:00am on Sunday, April 7th, when a Dodge pickup truck towing an empty flatbed trailer, headed westbound on Highway 6 at mile marker 223 drifted across the center line and impacted an eastbound semi truck and trailer head on. The pickup driver’s 6-year-old daughter was seated in the back right seat and did not survive the impact. The drivers of the semi and pickup were both transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Utah Highway Patrol released that drowsy driving is suspected to be the cause of this incident.
