The talented cast, crew, and support network of Uintah High Theatre are ready and excited to fill seats tonight in the Uintah High School Auditorium for opening night of their colorful and candy fueled production of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. The talented teens will perform the most recent Broadway production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from 2017 with songs from the 1971 film, including The Candy Man, Pure Imagination, and a touch of the memorable Oompa Loompa song. “We chose this nostalgic and fun show to showcase our talented kids and tap into our collective childhood memories of the beloved Roald Dahl story,” shares Director Chris Piner. “We think our audiences are going to love visiting and revisiting Wonka, Charlie Bucket, those other naughty children and the legendary Oompa Loompas. You can even buy a chocolate bar at our concession stand with a chance of finding a golden ticket to cash in for extra treats. Expect fantastic costumes, dazzling special effects and lighting and the talented young performers of Uintah Theatre to give you a fun and whimsical night of entertainment.” The production opens tonight and runs through Saturday, March 8th at Uintah High School.
