Changes for Dinaland Golf Course

The Uintah Recreation District will begin the hunt for a new golf pro at the Dinaland Golf Course this fall. Todd Meyer has served in that position very well since 2007 but has taken a new job opportunity as the Director of Instruction for the PGA at Desert Pines Golf Club in Las Vegas. Meyer’s service to the Vernal community will not soon be forgotten. “During his tenure, he coached high school golf, expanded [the] Jr. golf program and added a number of tournaments,” shares Rec District Executive Director Robin O’Driscoll. “He also started the ‘Golf in Schools’ program which brings the game of golf to elementary schools.” Meyer has already departed for his new position and his assistant Amanda Wilson has assumed his role for the duration of this golf season. The Rec District will begin the search for a new pro this fall.
