Change In COVID-19 Transmission Index As Trends Head In The Right Direction

COVID case counts and trends are headed in the right direction in the tricounty area and a change in the Transmission Index reflects that. As of November 24th, TriCounty Health Department reported 8,825 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date and there had been zero new COVID-19 related deaths in the previous 7 days and 14 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. According to Thursday’s data, there were 389 active cases. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Uintah County still at the High Transmission Index Level but Duchesne County has moved to the Moderate Level with Daggett County remaining at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 12 percent and there were 175 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 7 percent with 45 cases, and Daggett County was zero percent with 2 cases.
