The deadline for those wanting to take part of the Small Business Quarantined Employee Grant program has been extended. The program will continue into 2021 until the funds are exhausted or there is no longer a need for a grant.
Cornhole fever is taking place all over the Uintah Basin and now Roosevelt City will be kicking off their own league. The Roosevelt Cornhole League will be starting on Thursday, February 25th. The league will meet on Thursdays and will continue until April 29th at the Grace Center.
Vernal Theatre Live presents Blithe Spirit, a comedy that combines hauntings and hilarity. The show opens Friday February 19th at 7:00 p.m. and will run Saturday the 20th, Monday the 22nd, Thursday the 25th, Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th.
The Uintah Basin Cattlemen have added their support for HB 166 which “addresses the treatment and theft of livestock, including livestock guardian dogs and livestock infrastructure.” If HB 166 is passed, a person who shoots or steals a farmer’s livestock could lose their hunting privileges among other penalties.

After nearly ten years at UBTech, Tammy Wilkerson is retiring. Uintah Basin Healthcare announced through a press release that the facility has new mammogram recommendations for women who have had or plan to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. These recommendations are in alignment with new national guidelines.

Uintah Basin Healthcare has announced that they have received another limited shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to assist TriCounty Health in vaccinating those age 70 and older in our community. The vaccination event will be held Wednesday, February 17th from 8:00 AM to noon at Uintah Basin Medical Center.
The ice skating rink at Constitution Park is officially closed for the season. The rink opened on January 15th after a few hiccups but with huge community support. The donations from STRATA, L&L Motor, the Roosevelt Arts, Parks, and Recreation Committee, support from the community, and the efforts of city employees brought this exciting activity to the public and it has quickly become a favorite.
