KNEU 1250The congregation for the Vernal Christian Church is doing what they can to support the new pastor after he suffered a health crisis last month. On November 18th, Pastor Schaun Colin experienced a serious life-changing event when he went into Cardiac Arrest.
The DWR’s Regional Advisory Councils have several weighty changes they are considering to several rules and public feedback is requested. The Northeastern Utah RAC meeting will be held next week. The RAC meeting at the DWR office is scheduled for December 9th at 6:30pm.
Ashley Regional Medical Center has several reminders for the community. The Trees For Charity Auction Gala on Monday was a night to remember with a record breaking total of $310,300 dollars in donations. Many of the winning bidders put their trees back on the auction lot for resell, making for amazing cumulative results. ‘The Giving Tree’, Tree #17, was the top earner of the night at $20,500 dollars to benefit Duane Pannell in his battle with stage 4 cancer.

Duchesne County will soon be the home of the first desert bighorn sheep nursery in the state of Utah. Antelope Island has had a nursery herd for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep but the Duchesne County location will be the first for desert bighorns.
