According to the announcement, Crescent Energy entered into a definitive purchase agreement with Verdun Oil Company II LLC to acquire Uinta Basin assets previously owned by EP Energy for $815 million dollars.
The USU Bingham Research Center has issued an Ozone Alert for the Uinta Basin. Bingham Research Center Director Dr. Seth Lyman shares that the area is in danger of exceeding the EPA ozone standard over the next several days and as a result, all are encouraged to please reduce ozone-forming emissions where possible.

Uintah County is urging the public to beware of a scam coming through ground mail and that has been mailed to multiple county residents. The envelope does not have a return address. Instead, it states, "Pending Tax Lien Enforcement” with the date and a Tax Lien Number.
