Changes Recommended for Waterfowl Hunt

Public input is being welcomed on changes being recommended for Utah’s 2017 – 2018 waterfowl hunt. Among the recommendations, the Division of Wildlife Resources is proposing to split Utah into two duck hunting zones, reduce the number of pintail ducks hunters can take, and propose to establish a new waterfowl rest area.

Plans for Maeser Ponds Moving Forward

The local Division of Wildlife Resources is up to something fishy, in a good way! Plans announced early this year for urban fishing ponds in Maeser continue to progress. According to Aaron Averett of Sunrise Engineering, it’s possible the permit from the Army Corps of Engineers will be issued in January, in which case construction could begin in July or August.
