The 16th Annual Fishing With The Fox tagged fish competition is well underway, hosted by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in partnership with The Fox 98.5 FM radio station. There’s still plenty of time to hit the water and catch a tagged fish for the chance at great prizes. This year, tagged tiger trout are stocked in Spirit Lake in Daggett County, rainbow trout are stocked in Big Sand Wash Reservoir in Duchesne County, and rainbow trout are stocked in East Park Reservoir in Uintah County. This year, the trout are tagged with a yellow tag that says ‘2026 DWR WIN’ with a corresponding number from 001 to 550. Tags can be registered through August 2nd. You must have possession of the physical yellow tag to win. You can catch-and-keep any fish with the tag or catch-and-release the tagged fish. If you choose catch-and-release fishing, please swiftly pull or clip the tag from the fish, then release it. Register for the contest on the Eventbrite page titled ‘2026 Fishing with the Fox Contest’. Once registered, you’ll be prompted to print out or download the “tagged fish registration ticket,” which must accompany all tags submitted. Visit BasinNow.com, scroll down, and click the ‘Fishing with the Fox’ banner on the right side to link to the registration or visit the Eventbrite page at www.eventbrite.com/e/2026-fishing-with-the-fox-contest-tickets
