Tis’ the season for road construction and several projects are already underway in Duchesne County. Chapman Construction announced yesterday that road construction will begin this week on the Duchesne County Special Service District #2 Connector phase 3B road project. Delays can be expected from mid-May through the end of August. “Our number 1 goal is safety,” shares Chapman Construction. “Traffic is advised to use alternate routes via Ioka Lane while traveling from Bluebell to Roosevelt.” Construction is also underway on the Highway 40 widening project between Myton and Roosevelt. Crews are currently working to widen the road from 6250 South to the Ioka Junction. All lanes of traffic remain open though the shoulders are closed in some sections. Drivers should expect lane restrictions and delays later in the project.
