Another year of a favorite local singing competition wrapped up last night at the park in front of the Uintah County Library. “The 2026 Alive After 5 competition was one for the record books,” shares event organizer Autumn Hancock. “For the first time in the event’s 23-year history, every contestant was female, bringing a unique energy and dynamic to the stage throughout the four-week competition. Each contestant showcased her own distinct style, personality, and talent, making every week entertaining for the audiences. The Grand Finale featured an exceptionally talented final four, and judges agreed the competition was one of the closest they had ever experienced. Choosing a winner proved to be no easy task.”  After an outstanding night of performances, Kaylee Gardiner placed fourth, Meredith Cox earned third place, Thailer Oaks claimed second, and Brooklyn Murray was crowned the 2026 Alive After 5 Champion. The drawings for the Fishing With The Fox tagged fish competition were also held during the event and William Millett walked away with the check for $3500. It was a great night for all!
