Setting an example of service in the community, an amazing group of volunteers were recognized during the Uintah School Board meeting on Wednesday night. Known as the ‘Boomer Brigade’, the group of five women have made a huge difference as they have helped students with their reading skills and helped in classrooms. Dr. Laura Foley, Joyce Karren and Twila Shearer were in attendance at the meeting where they were recognized and thanked for their service. Teresa Page and Diane Witbeck were unable to attend but are part of this dynamic group. Dr. Foley shared that together the group has logged over 1200 hours of volunteer service from September 2021 through March 2022.
