The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office announced on June 30th that they have issued an Environmental Assessment for the Moonshadow West Oil Wells. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize six Applications for Permit to the applicant, Uinta Wax Operating LLC, to drill oil wells. The environmental assessment analyzed potential non-surface effects from drilling six wells from an existing well pad. The project location is approximately 4.3 miles southeast of Roosevelt on land in Uintah County. The decision record can be found at eplanning.blm.gov.
