BLM Vernal Field Office Authorizes Energy Projects

The BLM announced additional energy development projects authorized in Uintah County and Duchesne County this week. The BLM Vernal Field Office approved the Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC Loafer Gas Well Development project, including 10 drilling permits. The Environmental Assessment also analyzed construction of supporting infrastructure, including pipelines, a powerline, and a well pad with equipment for producing natural gas and drilling of an additional six future wells for a total of 16. The project location is in the Red Wash Unit, located 20 miles Southeast of Vernal. Another authorization was granted to Uinta Wax to proceed with the Skoufos North Project which includes 7 drilling permits. The project location is on split estate lands approximately 6.8 miles south of Roosevelt. Finally, FourPoint Resources Received approval for 6 Cora Oil well permits.
