The Bureau of Land Management has issued a fire prevention order for all BLM administered lands in the state of Utah. According to the Department of Interior, the following acts are prohibited on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) areas, lands, roads, waterways, and trails in the State of Utah until rescinded: First, the non-commercial use or discharge of explosives of any kind. Second, the use or discharge of any kind of fireworks. This includes all classes of fireworks…The following persons are exempt from the order: All necessary exemptions to this prevention order will be handled on a case-by-case basis through local “permits” issued by BLM District Managers for that purpose. This Fire Prevention Order became effective May 19th, 2021, and will remain in effect until rescinded. Individuals violating this order can be subject to fines up to and including $1,000 dollars along with associated fire suppression and rehabilitation costs. This order will supersede and rescind all previous fire prevention orders issued by the BLM.
