The BLM Vernal Field Office announced this week improvements to a hiking trail in southern Uintah County. The decision record was signed that states the BLM will designate and maintain the existing Goblin City Trail as a hiking, nonmotorized trail. They will more definitively mark the route and expand it by 0.35 miles using hand tools. It also lists plans to reestablish the old trailhead, replace the existing fire ring, and place a picnic table at the campsite. The project location is on BLM-administered land in Uintah County on the south side of the White River about a quarter mile downriver from its intersection with Atchee Wash Road.
