The Bureau of Land Management announced on February 2nd the authorization of three new drilling permits in the Uintah Basin. The first approval is for three new oil wells for the Three LB Tribal project located near Leland Bench in Uintah County. The applicant on the project is Finley Resources Inc that applied to drill oil wells producing from Indian Trust minerals from a well pad and supporting infrastructure that already exists. The second approval is for the Braveheart Oil Wells project located in Duchesne County. The applicant on the project is SM Energy that applied to drill oil wells producing from Indian Trust minerals from a well pad and supporting infrastructure that already exists. The third approval is also from applicant Finley Resources Inc, this time to drill on the Canvasback Tribal Oil Wells in Uintah County. The well pad and supporting infrastructure for this project would be entirely built on private land 14 miles southeast of Myton.
