The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment and Decision Record that authorizes approval of Applications for Permits to Drill for up to eight gas wells in Uintah County from a new well pad with an associated access road and pipelines. According to the BLM National NEPA Register, the project location is on BLM-administered lands, with the exception of a portion of the pipeline route which would cross private and TLA-administered surface. The location is approximately 43 linear miles south of Vernal. The nearest producing well is approximately five miles southwest, the nearest residential buildings are 35 miles north, and the nearest community is 39 miles north.
