Work has begun on the Vernal Regional Airport remodel that will allow more room for TSA check-in and can accommodate the larger aircraft capacity. According to airport manager Doug Brown, Flat Rock Construction and Angus Construction submitted bids for the terminal remodel. Angus Construction was awarded the bid and has already begun work. “It is anticipated a 4-week completion time in order to give TSA and SkyWest time to set up equipment prior to the

start date,” shares Brown. “These remodels are very important as the building is aged. With the increase in employees and equipment alone, we are already recognizing that space is limited and we need to have a serious discussion regarding a new terminal building in the near future.”
