The spirit of Christmas is in the air but it’s still important to watch for a Grinch or two out to take what isn’t theirs. Package theft is always a risk, shares Vernal City Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell. “During this time of year, do not leave packages unattended after delivery,” shares Campbell. “Have a neighbor or family member watch for deliveries and hold them for you.” With package deliveries increased for the holidays, thieves have an easy target. “There are those that have proven that they will prey upon people this time of year,” continues Campbell, “and theft is usually on the rise when opportunity increases.” Keep your holidays merry and bright and stop any package Grinch in their tracks by eliminating opportunity.
