According to the Sunday report, the Bear Fire has been mapped at 10,526 acres and is approximately 10% contained. Crews made good progress on Saturday on the western side of the fire, putting a dozer line down Ford Ridge. The fire was active until about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, burning green islands within the existing fire perimeter but not spreading much. It was most active in Sowbelly Gulch and along Hardscrabble Road. Highway 6 was able to remain open. A Red Flag Warning remained in effect for the fire area over the weekend for high temperatures and increased winds.
