Basin Among Stops for Man Charged in Prescription Drug Abuse Case

Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem across Utah and the nation. One Salt Lake man has been charged with 5 counts of theft of services in connection with an extensive case of using fake names at medical facilities to obtain prescription medications and Duchesne County was among his many stops across Utah. 26-year-old Mirzet Bajrovic obtained 68 controlled substances by utilizing 26 alias identities during a 9 month period. Barjrovic used false names that were all variations of his real name, reports KSL. He received services from major hospitals throughout Salt Lake County and traveled for services beyond in Box Elder County as well as at Uintah Basin Medical Center in Duchesne County.
