A man was arrested on Tuesday after his vehicle was searched during a traffic stop near 4800 South 1500 East after crossing out of Duchesne County into Uintah County. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed that the driver’s pupils were constricted, he was sweating profusely, and had an overall unhealthy appearance. Jerame Adams provided his license when asked and stepped out of the vehicle when asked. “When Jerame exited the vehicle and opened his door, [the officer] observed a baggie next to the seat with a large amount of blue pills consistent with fentanyl. [The officer] asked Jerame about the fentanyl pills and his response was ‘Where did those come from’? [The officer] asked Jerame if there was going to be anything else in the vehicle and he said there would not.” A pipe and a baggie with a melted pill was also found. He told the officer that he purchased the fentanyl in Myton. The baggy contained 95 Fentanyl pills plus an additional pill that was in the pipe.  52-year-old Jerame Lynn Adams was arrested and booked into Duchesne County Jail. He is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Controlled Substance Possession with Intent to Distribute, Driving with Measurable Controlled Substance, and Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
