An annual event is once again aiming to fill the shelves of local schools with much needed supplies. The Uintah Basin Board of Realtors ‘Back to School’ Carnival has grown each year and is set up for another big year. It’s amazing to live in a community that comes out every year in support, shares event volunteer Lisa Simmons. Lisa also emphasizes that it’s easy to serve a community that is willing to go ahead and do the work. The carnival gathers supplies and also raises money by selling tickets for the activities. The money raised largely goes to purchase paper for schools throughout the Uintah Basin. The event will run during the Farmer’s Market
this Saturday from 11am to 2pm
. Local students will be sent home from school with tickets to be used at the carnival, so be sure to check backpacks!
